Radiation Assured Devices™ (RAD) Installs an Additional Cobalt-60 Irradiation Source for Increased Capacity in Performing Total Ionizing Dose (TID) and Enhanced Low Dose Rate Sensitivity (ELDRS) Integrated Circuit (IC) and Electronic Systems Testing
Colorado Springs, CO - 06 August 2008 - Radiation Assured Devices™ (RAD) has recently purchased and installed an additional Cobalt-60 Irradiation Source which provides increased capacity in performing Total Ionizing Dose (TID) and Enhanced Low Dose Rate Sensitivity (ELDRS) testing on both Integrated Circuits (ICs) as well as Electronic Systems.
"We already had a large and growing number of TID and ELDRS tests running concurrently and we basically outgrew our capacity. With this additional source now online, we have more than doubled our existing test capacity" said Chris Barton, CEO of Radiation Assured Devices. "We are extremely pleased to add this additional capacity in order to better serve our existing and future customers."
Performing TID and ELDRS testing complaint to MIL-STD-750 and MIL-STD-883 Test Method 1019 has been one of several key components in RAD's suite of capabilities since the company was founded in 2003. The staff of RAD has extensive experience performing radiation testing on a large number of ICs, electronic systems and materials in the ~20,000 square foot Longmire Laboratory - a comprehensive radiation effects test and support laboratory purchased by RAD.
